The work is inspired by the question of what a time after Corona might look like. The artist uses the organ of the lung as a symbol for the invisible, for breath as the elixir of life and the exchange of molecules. On the significance of the lung as a sensitive and communicative organ, she draws attention to the connection between inside and outside, which is formed here in the gentle touch of two papers made of coal dust on the surface, drawing a body that appears elemental, both in form and materiality.
